From Seed to Harvest

I take pride in my hydroponic growing methods to ensure our microgreens are of the highest quality and yield. My tools, supplies, and processes have been carefully crafted to provide you with the best and most nutritious microgreens possible. Take a walk through my day-to-day operation.

"Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor 10:31

Grown indoors on food grade racks.

Set Up

Sanitation is paramount to prevent mold growth. I use hydrogen peroxide.

Sanitation

Bricks are used to mimic the weight of soil. This allows the seedling to send their roots downward to the water reservoir.

Germination Weight

Water pH is paramount for growth.

Hydroponic Solution Additives

We bottom water to produce healthy roots.

A clean cut is best for harvesting.

Step 2: scrape between the silicone mesh and the holed tray.

Clean between Silicon Mat & Mesh Tray

Grow lights are set to go on and off with timers. On for 16 to 18 hours daily.

Automation

Seed Sowing needs to be precise. I use a scale to be consistent.

Sowing Seed

Once the seeds have germinated, they go through a "Black Out" period to strengthen their grow.

Black Out Period

Sun Flower microgreens transitioning to the light stage of the grow cycle.

Light Time

Pea roots are thick.

Healthy Roots

Measuring the harvest yield.

Harvest Yield

Debris left after harvest.

Harvested Trays

Step 3: scrape the bottom of the holed tray.

Scrape off Reservoir Roots

Fans run for constant airflow. This is needed to prevent mold growth.

Air Flow

Depending on the variety, either a 1 or 2 pound weight is needed in the grow process.

Correct Weight

There are 3 stages of the grow cycle. Germination, Black Out, and Light.

3 Different Growth Stages

Root hairs can look like mold. They are a necessary part of growth.

Root Hairs

When harvesting, we use a scale to record growth.

Step 1: Scrape the debris from the silicone mesh.
